Looks interesting, thanks Gary. It's a US site but I can see if it's available in the UK. There a re a vew products for stone ans slate look textured floor tiles that require a porous surface. this...
Hi all,
I've been selling a few dye subbed ceramic tiles as framed prints effectively, but have avoided promoting them for splashbacks, coasters as the surface would just scratch. I'm wary of...
TTP site said 4 mins 200 degrees at medium pressure.
Didn't know BMS did these coasters, I knew about Longforte doing them, but when I looked a couple of months ago they were out of stock, and they...
3 minutes at 180 degrees!
many thanks again,
Jon
Thanks for the swift replies. Much appreciated. I will do the glass on top way, thanks Pisquee, and do a trial as suggested with different times and temps.
Glad to know it's something logical. Too...
I am subbing images onto glass coasters. the nice, square ones from TTP. The black in my design is coming out brown, making the whole thing look faded. My first four of this batch have come out this...
Thermometer is made by Staedtler.
People who use halogen ovens to bake polymer clay, (Fimo, etc) which is a temperature critical process, say that ordinary specialist oven thermometers are not accurate. Fimo make one for polymer...
Thanks SG, they do look amazing, but outside my budget unfortunately. ;-(
I want to cut stencils to use as texture sheets in their own right or to be used as moulds for rubber sheets or stamps for printing, clay work and suchlike. They need to be a few mm thick to make a...
Hi,
Anyone know how thick a cameo or portrait can cut. The only spec i could find online said 8mm, which I don't believe for a minute as it also said the blade was 1mm. I'm sure it can cut thicker...
Hi all,
I've been googling myself into a coma the last couple of days trying to find a reasonably affordable way of getting digital designs (black and white line in Illustrator, but pixels if pos)...
I would be interested to see your various shops to see the difference in tone for each place. I recently opened an Etsy shop but am not expecting much for a while. Getting seen seems to be the...
I have had something similar. It showed across several colours in a straight line on several coasters I did. I haven't tried anything to cure it yet. So I'll watch this thread. Sorry not to be of...
They are 6.35 mm thick. Almost exactly twice as thick as ordinary coasters. I just stacked two coaster on top of each other. Looks ok to me. Any views?
Got a reply from Graeme at TTP,
"My apologies for the delay in responding to your enquiry – I had to speak to my supplier before giving you a full answer!
The Unisub display tiles could be...
Those are cheaper than similar ones on TTP. . Hmm. I wanted isub mdf type ones as the come out bright and highly glossy. The glass ones look classy but much duller.
I emailed TTP but got no response...
Kind of confused here. The qualityof print on dye sub paper with subli inks is very dull but transfers onto whatever nice and bright. So wouldn't your canvas look dull because you aren't transferring...
I should ask TTP really shouldn't I? ;-)

Hi All, Anyone know these can be used as coasters? I find the rounded corners on coasters not suitable for a lot of square designs....
I've come to hate CMYK ;-) Blues suffer, as do yellows. You get an eye for it after a while but it's probably best to see what colours look like in CMYK space as you go. 'They' say that CMYK looks...
Well, I get the opposite, and I use sawgrass inks, I find that purples come out more of an indigo blue, but that is a gamut issue I am pretty sure. Use the 'match print colours' checkbox if you are...
Thanks Pisquee,
I read the thread about the glass coasters, it was that which led me to the clear ones from TTP that you use. I'll try backing off a bit on the temperature, 10 degrees as you...
I've just subbed pressed some glass coasters, and have been noticing the black not coming out consistent. The design that showed it most had some quite dense black in it. Of the four I made of that...
