Sorry, I'm having a bad day. They are sublinova inks.
Thanks guys. The dates are all different which I thought was a bit weird anyway, they range from Sept 16 - Jan 17. I guess its time for some more just seemed a shame to chuck them! I've printed a few...
Hello,
I have some sub ink which is out of date (but I haven't used it since it went OOD) - would using it cause problems? What actually happens when the ink is OOD? I hate the idea of wasting it...
I know there is a thread which kind of turned into this subject already but I thought a new header might draw more people to this one and get us some more advice.
I'm having problems, like a few...
I'm having problems with darker blues/purples/blacks for sure but this one had a light pastel orange at the bottom and it still went wrong. I did a mug before and after the messed up ones which were...
I did try some Jet stream paper which someone on here sent me for free and that worked better than the Trupix I've been using for darker colours but the detail wasn't quite as sharp. Still good but...
I'm also at a loss and I've stopped taking orders for black mugs. Heating the base didn't do anything really, they look slightly better but still not good enough to sell. I can't really afford to...
Stupid question but how do you pre-heat the base only? Just have it sticking out of the press? Won't that damage the element? I'm getting the same issue but only with darker coloured mugs at the...
I'm actually using a template that someone else gave me and they swore by it so I just assumed it was correct....I may shrink my whole image down each side and see what happens, thanks. I still don't...
I am getting this problem around one side of the mug and the bottom. Its driving me mad....sometimes I can do 3 and they come out fine, but any more than that, and it messes them up. This morning my...
Hi guys, thanks for all the advice and sorry for my late reply. I contacted my mug supplier after also finding that the ink was coming off in the dishwasher, even though it was guaranteed not to....
Yep, I'm using a complete piece of paper (I tried it without as well and it still did the same thing) and I'm using Trupix paper with sawgrass inks.
When I'm pressing mugs with a large area of white (so a single image on a white mug say) I'm getting loads of weird little bits pressed into the white bits of the mug. They look so bad, I can't sell...
Hi, yes the temp is in F so I'm not sure what that would be in C and I let the mug heat up as well (I put in the mug I want to print though, not a dummy so would that make a big difference? I haven't...
I am literally at my whits end with the mug press. I've had so many problems and invested so much money into this and nothing I do seems to be right. Yesterday I pressed a more or less perfect mug...
I'll try reducing the pressure a bit first and see what happens. After the mug has been washed, you can't see the pattern so it might be alright. I have it on about 310 for 120 seconds.
Just an FYI, I'm using the RN coated mugs from BMS, Trupix paper from BMS and Inktec inks
I just printed my first mug with the new paper and inks - its come out 99% perfect! There is a small glitch which I'm sure no one else will really notice but it looks as though the texture of the...
Thanks guys, I thought it would be best to wait but just wanted to make sure. Weirdly enough I got a refund for the carts that hadn't turned up so I ordered more from Ink-girl...now the refunded...
I got some cheaper quality ink just to see if I can get on with sublimation before spending a load of money on expensive ink. I've now got the expensive ink so whats the best way to go about flushing...
Thanks =) I guess I could print some of the "rubbish" ones and give them to friends, it would make me feel better about not wasting stuff! I'm going to go with the mugs from BMS, I've got inktec ink...
Ok, I just wanted to try and avoid throwing away 40 odd unused mugs if possible. However, even when you buy from a reputable place, would you still test the product? And for how long?
I planned to buy from BMS this weekend after I've hopefully made some more money. The mugs have come out so nice (I planned on just using them for testing the press) it seems such a massive waste to...
I posted yesterday but probably under the wrong heading as people talked more about ICC profiles than answering my question (that was my fault for wording everything wrong though!)
I had a load...
