Duracoat tiles? can't find in UK. + Varnish question

    Hi all,
I've been selling a few dye subbed ceramic tiles as framed prints effectively, but have avoided promoting them for splashbacks, coasters as the surface would just scratch. I'm wary of offering them as fireplace sets for similar reasons, though there are those that do, and seem to do OK.
Duracoat tiles looked like the answer but I can find nowhere in the UK that stocks them. Listawood used to, and a couple of other places used to. Anyone have any info that I don't? I'm not in the market for a palette load from China. . .
Failing the duracoat thing, what varnish do you recommend to toughen up the surface of normal dye subbed tiles? I am trialing a spray acrylic varnish from an auto store, but there are so many different types of varnish it is bewildering. Also, getting an even coat is not that easy. I want something tough, long lasting, very clear and preferably UV resistant. Resin would be great but that is ridiculously expensive and wasteful. Are there commercial places that will spray resin coatings on small amounts of things? Again i can't find any on Google. It's hard to know what to search for.
    Frustrated, Cambridge ;-)
Massive thanks in advance for any help,
    Jon

What about this kind of product? A laquer or a glaze that artists use for tiles?

I did have a bookmark somewhere for coating a different style of non sublimation tile, but I couldn't find it. I'll have another look later.

Looks interesting, thanks Gary. It's a US site but I can see if it's available in the UK. There a re a vew products for stone ans slate look textured floor tiles that require a porous surface. this doesn\t seem to require that. I bought some plasticote polyurethane varnish spray today to try out, as i saw it in the shop i was in. . .

I thought so for a minute when that came up in google earlier today, but if you scroll down, all they have under 'duracoat' is tile stands in packs of ten. . . no tiles unfortunately ;-(
so they are another 'used to have'.

I looked before xmas....and couldn't find any. I was gulping a bottle of red wine at the time which probably didn't help. I shall resume my search.

The coating I was looking at was for those tumbled marble tiles you see all over Etsy.

This is for textured tiles, they will have something suitable for glossy surfaces.
