Anyone know where I can get one of these?

Looking for a tube that is as the attached (both ends) for my 3D heat press. BMS thought they had one but the ends are cut off rendering the tube no good.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have my daughters Christmas presents to print for her teachers and the deadline is looming fast :-)

Simon, have you still got the metal end bolt? I thought the tube would slide on with some persuasion!

    Hi Scotty

Yes, I still have the nuts, the tube slides over the fixed bolt and then I can screw it down, but the problem is that it slowly works it way off. I am getting by for now, but ideally I would like to get a complete set of hoses just in case.

Have you tried a plumbers merchant?.
That may have something to help.

    Hi Simon

I would suggest your best bet would be to put the machine in the back of the car and trundle down to
    Burley Fluid Air
    Boleness Road
    PE13 2RB

    01945 474340

They are all of 10 minutes away from SGs Acres

They stock all kind of air fittings. I suspect you may be hard pressed to get exactly what you want but they ought to have enough bits to make up a suitable hose.

Just remember to leave a few mugs in the 3D so you can show them what it does and if they show any interest you might be able to do a swop - half a dozen corporate mugs for the required parts - anything to avoid parting with real folding money m'boy ;o)

and it goes without saying that pneumatic parts can be expensive

Not had issues before either once the bolt is screwed on. Maybe try another tube?

The hoses don't come with that dimple on the end though, that's created by pushing it on to the nozzle and then the nut being tightened. I'd recommend changing your hose, though. I stopped using those hoses as I was sick of them cracking and breaking exactly like you said. I now use a length of this hose:

    http://www.autosiliconehoses.com/3mm...lue-black.html

You can't get the metal nut on as the hose itself is the same width as the hole in the nut, but I've been using mine for months with no nut at all (it's tight enough to just push on to the nozzle) and it's the longest I've ever had a piece of hose without having to trim it from it cracking or becoming loose.

I think you'll find that the bulge on the end of the hose is actually made that way. Nuts are put on the pipe and then the end is swaged into that shape. It acts like olive on the end of the pipe.
