    assorted rhinestones wanted!

    Hi

Do you have a load of Rhinestones kicking around that you don't use any more? Pretty much any size and any colour will do - I just want some to mess around with and don't much fancy spending a gazillion quid on buying a whole bucket load of them!

Anyone have anything to sell on?

    Regards

    Arthur

    Hi Paul

Its the ss10 that I am after really, I suspect the ss6 are a bit fiddly. Are they plastic or glass. How much for the ss10 and how much for the ss6 and how many are there?

    regards

ss6 aren't more fiddly if you have nicely cut template. but you need more of them to fill up the template lol.

i will have a look how many i have nd let you know.

    Hi
If as you say you only want to mess around with some. Have you considered trying the rhinestuds instead this is what I use most of the time and although some people may say they loose there colour etc. I have never had an issue with them and they always give me great results. And the main reason I say this is because there a lot cheaper than stones they work out about £15.00 for 100 gross that's 14.400 studs and they come in a multitude of colours.

I have seen pukka glass and the plastic ones, both clear, next to each other and there was no comparrison the glass ones really did sparkle, then again the bloke who had they was trying to flog glass rhinestones and not plastic ones so the plastic ones might well have been the cheapest ones you can get!

In the first instance it really doesn't matter if they are plastic, given the likely wastage it would be a cheaper move at least!

    Hi Arthur,
There not made of plastic but of metal. But I agree with you the Chrystal ones are always going to be better especially if you buy the AB stones which add an extra bling to the stones as they change colour as the light hits them. I have been told that the studs have a tendency to loose colour after a while ( think its to do with the washing) but my other half has a few done and they still look as good as the day they were done so at the end of the day it always comes down to cost and for the money I don't think you can beat them. Hope this helps.

The glass do always seem to shine more than acrylic but its the cut of the rhinestone is also important, the more facets it has the better the sparkle.
Check out Ali express, 10 gross ss10 glass are $1.17 a bag and buy 3 get one free, so 5760 stones for $3.51, I have ordered from them the stones are fine but they did take a while to arrive so no good if you are in a hurry for them http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Promo...636002494.html these are DMC cut which do have a good sparkle
