Hi
I understand that if I want to print ceramic tiles I need to put them on a pad that will a) stop them cracking and b) wrap the image around the edges.
Anyone know what they are called and where I can get one.?
Cheers

Great - just put in an order.
Got the pad and it looks the business for stopping the tile cracking but doesn't seem to have enough give in it to wrap the image enough around the sides. Got all my kit set up, now have to learn how to use GIMP and then I can test it out!
I use an Ironing board heat blanket, there about 4 quid from robert dyas and I cut it down into roughly 38cm squares and can get 4 out of 1 so last awhile. they do go stiff after a few pressings but work out far cheaper than a Nomex sheet.
Thanks - that is a great idea.
Hi Pamela,
I've done a fair few tiles and the 6" x 6" I press face down, however I've started pressing the 6" x 8" ones face up, they are a thicker tile and when pressing face down was getting varied results, If you are looking at doing Murals then check out Perfect Resize it's great software as it can enlarge the image without loss of quality and there is a tiling function which saves each tile as a separate image.
good luck
John
