Atkins Studio Mug Press & Galaxy Mug Press Pro - Anyone with experience using them?

Hi, I am fairly new to mug sublimation. I have had 2 Galaxy Gs 201 mug presses one after the other and both have failed. First one only did 16 mugs then suffered a blanket fault and was sent back, replacement received last week and on the day of delivery I pressed 6 mugs and then the tensioner screw (little one with two nuts) stripped. The threads in the black knob are only plastic eek! So the 2nd one is going back now too. I must be jinxed :-)

Anyway my point is I am looking for a good replacement and I am considering either the Galaxy Pro (better build, I think) and the Atkins Studio Mug Press (more expensive, but British), does anyone have any personal experience of using these two presses good or bad and what sorts of results did you get?

Really want to avoid cheap and nasty Chinese presses if possible, although I know the Galaxy Pro probably is from China?

    Thanks in advance, Alan

Adkins all the way, I'd use nothing else. No longer made in uk but assembled here and still excellent, worth every penny :-)

Thanks, Justin, it will probably be the way I go. In yours do you have a preference for mug supplier & ink for best results? or will the Adkins press most ok anyway?

Pretty much any mug, these are good with Xpres mugs in my experience. Excellent mugs at very low price if you join us as a premium member. I use Subli HD inks.

100% Adkins as Justin said. Don't buy new as eBay normally has many of these second hand although you may need new element to be safe. Many sellers don't use word "Adkins" as sold by most sublimation companies so search on "mug press" and trawl though. Don't pay more than £200 in our experience.

I have a 2012 Adkins single mug press available as I've just upgraded to a newer one.
Excellent condition, perfect results every time!
