looks like bad pressure in the centre of the plate quite common on cheaper presses, theyre ok for vinyl but sublimation shows up all issues.

I had a similar problem and I found that the press wasn't flat. If you put a long straight ruler on its edge from corner to corner take a look and see if there is a gap right in the centre where your having the problem.

Press something else, move the paper to a different part of the press, if the problem follows the paper, its the paper. If the problem is in the same position relative to the press, its the press. Most likely the press though.
Hi, I have this same problem, could you please let me know whether you solved it or sent the press back for a refund?
have you tried putting a teflon pillow on the base

Hey quinsfan do you still have your press for sale? I may be interested if you want to shoot me over some photos? :)I was going to put my one on here for sale, but haven't got round to it yet, you can have it for £120. It is not a branded one but has an even heat and pressure. I have had it for about 2 yrs and bought it off of ebay 2nd hand from an art student at Brighton Uni. It has served me well, so much so that I recently upgraded I was able to upgrade my press. It is a clam style NOT swing. If you are interested please PM me and I can send you some photos.
