Looking for a secure payment gateway for new website

    Hi all,

Any recommendations on a secure payment gateway and payment options for my new website? the website has been getting a lot of hits but no sales as of yet, I think customers are being put off because it hasn't got a secured by badge on my website like I have seen on others e.g secured by paymentsence. At the moment I have Paypal linked to it to take payments any advice and recommendations welcome.

    Regards

    Damian

Stripe and Paypal... You can get a badge for both, could be a number of reasons why you are not converting so might be worth installing Google Analytics and a heatmap plugin to find out where your customers are clicking. Social media links into your website will also help if you use them.

You could also use mals ecommerce and paypal.
You should have got a 'secured by' logo when you purchased your ssl. Contact your provider and ask for one.

Try and either use a combination of Sagepay, and Paypal - as well as any other alternative payment methods you may wish to choose.

I would also reccomend purchasing an SSL certificate to use on your site to give it more trust from a customers perspective.

I belive it is already possible to get a free one, however cannot remember the name of the service off of the top of my head. However, Namecheap did offer them for $0.99 a few days back in their Cyber Monday deals.
