    EBAY, Amazon or both?

    Hi

just thought i'd throw ths out there, Ebay, Amazon or both?

I currently use ebay to sell a few designs etc but as yet not used amazon, fees on ebay are a bit hefty sometimes depending on the sales but I havent used amazon, is it worth giving it a go?

Anybody have any sales comparisons between the 2 sites?

    Paul

I am also looking at Amazon, but what concerns me with Amazon is that you cannot copyright your images and it seems if you complain about your listing being hijacked in any way that it is you the gets kicked off not the person doing the hijacking!!

if you think fees are big one ebay wait till you try amazon, and james is pretty much right, you don't own the listing people can jump on so be prepared for that!

    thanks mags,

Yes I havent touched amazon as yet, im on EBAY and ETSY at the minute, that's as far as I've gone on the shops front.

I have always thought something wasn't quite there or right for me to try Amazon but I think i'd need a lot more convincing to open a shop there.

Thanks both for pointing out the listing issues, that is, to be fair a bit crap the way they can do that, I didn't know so thanks for the heads up on that one!

amazon is very hard work to be honest, it takes ages to get your head around listing new products, then you have people in china winning your buy box for the sake of a penny, the seller support is very poor as there systems seem to kick sellers off quite alot,
ebay and etsy is nice and easy for listing , how you doing on etsy?

etsy is ok, a few sales from abroad as they tend to use etsy more, ebay i find is more europe based, postage is a pain though on etsy (and ebay), over 250g on a shirt your looking at £7.85 or thereabouts to the US.

In fairness though, it's ok, seem to get sales on etsy then ebay then etsy again and etsy is cheaper than ebay as far as fees go but I do more on ebay

What about the copyright side of things, can you put copyright on the item you are listing, or is also a no no?
