I'm very impressed with Dave's results on full coverage. One of our six will do that if you preheat the mug. It seems to have a softer blanket than the others. They don't seem to be particularly consistent but you get to know each one's "personality".

We only got the one to test - but even with it on full temp, preheating the mug in our home kithen over, and then having it in the press for 20 minutes, it still printed with washed out colours, and fading at top, bottom and sides - good to know others are having better results.

What use is a press that can only print part of a mug? I'm not really seeing the advantage of a mug press that opens for you? Is it really that much of a chore?

Sorry to return to this thread after such a long time. These presses are absolute pants. Don't buy one.

We have now killed at least 6.

1) The compressor won't stop filling
2) The compressor won't work at all
3) The thermostat doesn't work and overheats (browns)
4) They start counting down before the press has cooled to the temp of the mug so the mugs don't sublimate for long enough (greys)
5) Some flucutate between all of the above.

You can get a good one but they are rare. There seems to be little or no quality control before they are shipped by Free Sub.

We got a new one yesterday where the compressor would not stop filling (the noise drives you barmy) our supplier sent a replacement today and that one doesn't fill at all. Zero compressor activity so it won't clamp the mug.

I dusted off my Adkins press today and at least got a load of mugs done.
