My mug press arrives today! Excited but I have no printer as yet to practice with, off to put a printer order in. I think I will go for a bundle that includes printer, ink, cartridges, paper and a profile. I've seen the ricoh 3110 for around £170 with CityInkExpress. I've tried playing with prices buying separately but you don't save a lot and then there's the profile to source.
If it goes well you won't need to upgrade later :-) Each to their own but I can tell you from bitter experience, trying to compromise and cut corners 'can' inevitably lead to you spending more money. Good luck with your purchase.

I'm in the same boat, I can't afford Sawgrass inks either. I've been told that Fotorite ink is a good alternative, so fingers crossed!

Will let you know how it goes.

Good luck Srobbo, keep me posted

I didn't know there was formaldehyde in sublimation ink? What ink do you manufacture mags?

Just thought I'd chip in here, I have a ricoh 3110dn still with the first set of original carts in when I bought it, is it best to stay with the sawgrass inks (although £200.00 for a set) or go with cityink sub inks and paper?
Is it worth the hassle of flushing an almost new printer for other inks?
