I've got the same problem. Also with Ricoh 3110, Sawgrass dye and TruPix paper. Just started in the last few days. I think it's the Dye, not sure if they have changed the mixture or messed up a batch. I exchanged the black cartridge for one out of another of our printers that was working fine and after a head flush it fixed the problem. Bit worried the next new cartridge will cause the problem again.
99% certain this is weather related. Have used up three black cartridges since last posting and the issue seems to be intermittent, worse when it's very cold.
