Bit like car winscreen wipers, after all these years they've found nothing that does the job cheaper or more efficiently.

with ever different media types and films and garments etc you can save them all on the press individually turn it on press what you are doing and done no need to look up what is the time and temp for different items every time. if we didnt update to modern tech we would still all be riding around in horse carts.
My other concern with this is if the machine ever packs up, or you decide to change machine etc etc where is the back up? I am pretty sure that you can not connect these to a network so when the machine gives up, so do all those saved settings (unless you have written them down in a book.... :-))

Thank you all for your responses. With so many substrates then an array of timers isn't the ideal option for us and was one we did think about before asking about any particular press models. I think more internal training is probably the answer with a bonus if people get it right (keep their job) and detentions if they keep mucking it up!
