Galaxy Neptune or Stahls Clam Basic?

I'm about to order my first heat press, been looking around and these are the two I've chosen.....
Galaxy Neptune GS-601 29x38 is £300 lifetime warranty on the heating element, not sure how that would work out if it ever did blow?
Stahls Clam Basic is £350 28x38.....£350 but I hear a lot of good things about this company.
I'd like to place my order either tonight or tomorrow morning, any decent suppliers you can point me to?
    Thanks in advance.

Have you considered second user items, usual internet sources could find yourself some serious savings over new.

I'd rather pay the extra and buy new, if there's ever a problem it would be easier for me.

Maxx is an excellent press. Remember should you ever decide to sell it the resale value is high because of the reputation and quality of the company. Buy a cheap Chinese thing which may or may not be reliable and deliver even heat and pressure and you'll get peanuts in resale value.

Here's a picture of my Clam Basic. Fell apart after about 15 months of light to medium use - about 100 shirts a months. It is just Chinese tat with an American price tag.

The thermostat also started playing up, just before the guarantee was due to expire. It would cut out and turn itself off for no apparent reason. When I phoned the supplier ( MDP ) they told me to remove the back plate and jiggle the connections....

Trouble with Stahls is that their Service centre is in Germany, so after your warranty is up you will have to send it abroad. After Brexit, that may well be complicated.

You will probably be ok with the Maxx - that is made in America and has a reasonable guarantee. Don't touch the Clam basic with a barge pole.

Wow man, you wouldn't expect that as they're quite expensive too. The Maxx is due tomorrow, didn't tell the Mrs how much it was but hopefully it'll make it's money back plus I can't be dealing with all the stress. What happened then? You get it sorted or just buy a new press?
