quick update - reply from sawgrass uk quote: I can confirm that the issue that you have been experiencing has been caused by a chip error with the yellow ink cartridge - see picture - advise is buy a new set of carts - not much chance of that - each print cost me approx £1.00
Their reply doesn't make much sense - if it's a chip error then it's a warranty job. Wouldn't have thought an error in one chip would cause it to dump all of the ink into the waste container - you'll need one of those too!
I think that you need to persue this a little further...
thanks for that - tried to but sawgrass have stopped replying to email calls - wasted a lot of time today trying to get hold of them.. will try again tomorrow - suppose you only know how good a company is when things go wrong..
Not experienced out of date carts with Sawgrass or Sublimation inks, but I know with the latest UV digital inks when there out of date you HAVE to replace them or printer wont work, I know with my Canon Lucia inks the story is different as I often but inks out of date as there cheaper and work fine.
Interesting to find out the outcome of outdated Sawgrass inks.....
Thanks - they admitted that out of date inks will work but they will not support them... not sure how they can tell if it's the cart or the printer from pictures.. Just called them on a different number ( 4.30 pm ) and guy answered and said will get E to call you back - she did not.. now after 5pm...
