    Sublimation not transfering image

    Hi what could be the problem if the heatpress dont transfer the image. I have check videos and im doing exactly the same putting transfer paper on the product with image facedown. 190 celcius for 60 seconds??? PLEASE HELP?

    We have no idea about your set up. Your paper ciuld be not sublimatikn paper or inks could be nit sublimatikn inks.


    ...or you try to print on none sublimation item.

    I could be wrong but I believe you would still get a transfer, even if not a perfect one, if the print is on the wrong side of the paper?

    You get a very weak image sometimes, depends on the settings.

    Ink manufacture and where you purchased it
    Press make and model
    Where you purchased the blank from

    The ink is from bulk ink south africa. Printer using ricoh. Using sublimayion paper from custom signs and graphics south africa. Heat press from bizinbox south africa.

    makes me wonder if this is standard ink and not sublimation as everything else seems to be in order. Or perhaps the substrate is cotton.

    How accurate is the temperature setting on your press? I have a Stahls press that shows 200c when it is only at 145.

    Temperature is critical. At lower temperature the ink won't turn to gas so you will get no sublimation. I would get a thermometer and take a reading of the platen heat.
