    Little Ghost White Toner Bundle

    Hello everyone.

I saw on a thread about the Spring fair some were chatting about this Little Ghost A4 printer bundle with an interchangeable Black and white toner. I think a couple of people even invested in them.

Has anyone actually tried one yet? We are looking for new general Laser printer now, my old Epson 3800n has finally given up on me. We use it mostly for packaging nowadays anyway. I was going to just get a cheapy cheerful hp or brother but this printer is really interesting and I hoped someone could give an opinion on is print quality. For £255 delivered it seems almost too good to be true. And when things seem that way... I get nervous lol.

    Alex.

I've noticed their webpage shows white prints on mugs as an example. (The one on the pink mug is a particularly bad pressing!). However, they state that the prints are washable up to 40 deg C. All dishwashers wash at about 20 degrees higher than that, so I seriously doubt whether the prints would be any good for mugs. Garments would probably be fine though.

I went through the list of white toner cartridges; some are much higher priced than others by the way and bought a higher quality refurbished printer from eBay for £170. Haven't purchased the white toner yet, but have the Forever transfer papers ready for experimenting.

That's a pretty good idea, I didn't think to just check their toner list. Which model did you go for?

Has anyone actually used their ghost printer/toner yet? I think a few people have said they got them, I'm keen on finding out from someone if its any good.

Been playing with this today, I was wondering how the powders did not mix, simples the cart contains the toner and the drum. I got the little ghost. White prints well.
They said on the instructions to print white first then the color.
I found you need to do it the other way around.

Yes I think you're right. Printing colour first then over in white makes sense for when you heat transfer the print. We have the ghost but haven't done much with it yet. We tried some dark colour garment prints a while ago but found it difficult to get paper to go through printer again and match up exactly. It curls a lot after going through. Did you press it hard underneath some heavy perhaps before doing white? Also, did you make the white version a little smaller?

The paper went through fine everytime even when i managed to print on the wrong side.
I didn't change the size of the image when I printed white as I was curious about how much white would show.
In general I am happy with it, I think a bit of practice and patience will yield good results.

Thanks for response. Did you use the paper tray because doesn't the paper curl really badly? We couldn't put it back through straight away.
