tubstar yes I just bought a couple hundred badges and 100 magnets to try it out, racing through the badges so far mainly with the kids but did sell a bunch yesterday to a local hockey team going on an end of season bash. Next time will up the quantities purchased as they drop in cost significantly. Good shout on the badge colouring idea.

Tailor your designs/images/graphics to the market your looking to sell to as there are various types of badges and gift shops. Comedy badges or 'I've visited here' type badges, too many options to list maybe visit a few of your target shops to see what sort of things they are selling, tourist or locals etc

we find the 2inch 50mm most popular.
    small orders are a pita
    1 is £5
    20 for £20
    50 for £38
    100 for £60
don't want to do any more than that.
we charge same price regardless of 1inch or 2 as it is the making rather than the penny difference in componant price that matters

We sold 20 for £20 Friday (38mm) and son sells them for £1 each at school, he's got an order to deliver 5 on Monday! I'm sure all proceeds will be going to charity should the teachers ask him what he's doing, apparently his orderbook is kept in his sock lol

If you get into high numbers say over 100 or 200 it's not worth trying to compete with the volume producers prices. As for supplying trade it probably more effort than it's worth but then I guess that depends on your situation and the time you have available. Nice looking new premises by the way Logobear.

I used to use blank badge - good service and quick :)

We found to try and market towards the occasions where people would want more than 1 badge - so hen nights, birthdays etc. We could get 6 58mm badges to a page so it made the margin much higher. I didn't bother with single units in the end, just took more time to make than the profit involved.

Inkjet printer and lightweight photo glossy worked for me. Circles were cut in multiples using print&cut with my contour cutter.

I've got some brochure paper now that's quite thin but gives excellent prints so I might dig out the badge machine again and try that.
