Strange lines and marks appearing on Ricoh 3110 & 2110

Hi, it's a really strange one that's baffled me for a while. Sometimes with no warning images come out with dots or strange patterns as if something was scraping along. I the. Try on another printer and the problems goes (although sometimes the same happens on both with the same image) I have tried head cleaning and the usual tasks but this random mystery keeps appearing.

It's not specific images either. I could print 10 of one image perfectly fine then randomly marks appear.

I have added a few images showing the white dots and also what like like claw marks. It's a really strange thing and I'm wondering if anyone knows what the cause maybe or how to solve it. We even bought a new printer and changed inks and paper!.

    Thanks in advance :)

Does your usb printer cable run alongside any other power or data cables? (I'm thinking along the lines of some kind of sporadic electrical interference).

No it's not close to any cables. This was something we tried a while ago when looking into solutions and tried moving the cables. It literally comes out the pc and along the wall on its own.
I have another picture too why shows more clearly the issue.

And you say this is happening on more than one printer? Very strange indeed. Have you tried cleaning the encoding strip in the printer?

Yea this is a real myth. It happens on the Ricoh 2110 and 3110. But not at the same time. For example we could print on one and the marks appear. We try several times and the same problems happen, switch to a different printer and the problem goes and vice verse. If it was always the same image would at least have a starting point.

Having looked closely at your pics on my pc rather than on my mobile, it seems to me that your printer rollers are picking something up and transferring to the print. The reason I think that is because the horizontal spacing between the tracks is not equal and this matches the distance between the Ricoh rollers which themselves aren't equally spaced over the width of the page.

Ah you see now we did think this. And after trying many solutions we even purchased a brand new Ricoh and the muster still continued. We have printed using ms publisher and photo shop

Is there another piece of equipment working at the same time. Know of a similar issue caused by a guillotine running.
