depends on how much text .... and what they want.
    you design!
Generally think front print should be about 240mm wide and back print 300mm wide
but depends if they are size 8 or size 18!

Font size is irrelevant. Just decide on the area you need to cover and resize your design to suit.

Remember that fonts need to be 'installed' on a pc before they can be used. (Right-click the font file and select 'Install.').

Sorry folks, maybe I didn't phrase that question correctly, is there an average size/font that people use on T-shirts for Hens etc or do you print a template to get sizes/fonts ? I understand different size clothing would require different size font but surely there is an average ?

not at all I am afraid. I have used god knows how many fonts for tshirts, hoodies and signs. Either ask them if they have seen a font they like or just offer them 3-4 options. As others have said it really depends on what they want it to say and where.
    Many thanks

I try to keep the total image within an A4 size sheet, usually can get two across the std roll that way. All about managing the costs :)
