    See if you can apply just using an iron, if that works your issue is with the heat press. If it doesn't you have a compatibility issue with the film.

    When I've done westford mill things I put a lot of pressure on them much more than recommended and I have pressed more than once usually too. I start to take the backing plastic from the htv and if I find a bit that hasn't adhered well I press again. If I am using an item with edges, I use a book underneath to lift it up so that the ridge doesn't interfere. On old hardbacked book is great for this.

    I bought one of the bigger sized books in the Works specifically for me to do this with the bigger items

    Thanks everyone so much for your help :) I kind of worked out what works - I upped the heat and the time and have been pressing more than once...and using a book :) Seems to do the trick thank god LOL

    Whose vinyl or transfers are you using for the Westford Mill range?
