Galaxy heat press..is this the norm ?

Hi, Just joined the forum today looks like a great place to learn a lot of valuable information.
I have a Galaxy Heat press 15x15 Auto which arrived a few days ago. Unfortunatley im not that happy with the build of it.

My concern is insulation coming out around the edge of the heat plate -It looks to be glass fibre insulation the kind of stuff you would insulate your home with.

I would of thought it would of had some heat proof strip that would seal this gap around heat plate to stop the insulation from falling out over time. I also know these fibres are not good to breath in as they are made from glass fibre.

Is this normal on the galaxy heat presses or is mine missing a seal or strip that would prevent this from falling out ?

My other question is...does the Galaxy normally remember the last setting you had it on ? mine is set to 150c for 12 seconds. When I use the press the next day, it insists on going up to 155c until I reset it again. What is more frustrating is when I press set to change it back to my settings above it tells me it is set to 150c for 12 seconds already.

    Normal on this press ?

    Any advice really appreciated

I have a Galaxy press and there's certainly nothing coming out the sides. You're definitely missing the side panels. Yes the press remembers the settings.

Think you need to contact the supplier.
