AHA, so I suspect its how you have you have set up your system.
Are you using the following:
Sawgrass Powerdriver
Decent Sublimation paper (such as TRUP PIX)
USING: Whatever it takes to get the job done...
Yes powerdriver and use tex print and trupix. I dont want to change to a cheaper ink because I know what a nightmare it can be
There has to be something wrong if you are only getting 60 (ish) prints per set of carts. So there are a few things.
Firstly, is this your first set of ink carts. If so they do run down very quickly as most of the ink is in the tubes. You will find that purchasing another set of carts will last considerably longer.
Secondly, can you post a picture of one of your prints. All i want to see is the amount of ink on the paper. That will give a good indication as to whether the printer is laying down too much ink
When you say 60 prints per set. Is that a full set of carts? It is rare that each colour is empty at the same time. It could be that you only got 60 prints because you had a run of slates that used a lot of magenta (for example).
USING: Whatever it takes to get the job done...
I did think previous cartridges lasted longer yes it is the first set of cartridges ror this particular printer, you could have hit the nail on the head. Yes they all run out different times. I cannot get the attach a picture to work
I see the picture did attach
OK, Personally I think the picture seems a bit rich, but others who print photo slates might say this is normal for slates, one thing I do know is that it is certainly not over the top rich and indicating too much waste ink.
I think its right in that as these are the first set of carts for this printer then most of the ink has been used up filling the tubes. The only way to see if this really is the case is by replacing the carts as and when with new carts and hoping that they last longer.
But I think I can say with 95% conviction that as you are using a new printer with the Sawgrass power driver and not laying down too much ink (as indicated) then there is no problem with the printer or the ink, it is just a case of new "printeritus" where you have just spent £180 to fill four tubes :-)

Just to chip in here to help confirm.
I have the same setup and get over 500 slates to a set of Sublijet inks (15x20cm).
My first set did get much less for the reasons mentioned already.
