    Spinning Heat Press!!!!

    Hi Guys

Apart from the Hotronix range of heat presses are there any other heat presses on the market that have a decent amount of space underneath the platen?

I am possibly looking for a heat press that allows you to thread a hi vis ves on the platen, print the back, spin it round and then print the front without removing the garment from the press. The only one I have seen so far is the Hotronix.

Hopefully I have explained that correctly :-)

Use an ironing board and drop the platen onto it.

I like your thinking but I am wanting something a bit better made than that (if I made this it would be woeful :-). It's to replace my Adkins in printing the hi vis vests (20k plus vests a year) and am looking for the quickest possible printing solution.

I could chop up an old heat press and possibly bespoke make something, but they are less than a grand to purchase so may as well buy a purpose built machine.

Looked at dual platens as well but not sure this would actually speed it up that significantly, so am now thinking that keeping the garment on the press will speed it up.

How about a shaped plywood insert to pop into the shirt so that you don't have to stretch it over the platen? Press one side, then flip the whole lot over and press the other side.

That would probably add time. While a jacket is pressing, the "spare" time is used to either fetch the next size vest or to fold and repack the one that has just been printed. The only part that could be quicker is as described, hence why I am looking for a "thin" platen.

    Appreciate the idea though.

Maybe look at adapting a PressMech - the interchangable base platens on them may get you part way there - they will/can produce bespoke sized/shaped plates for them too

The Galaxy press has room to do this. Tried it just now with a tshirt and easy to spin around to the other side. I don't have the 38x38 I have the smaller one but they are made with room so you can put the garment over the press single sided

    Hi Tricia

Are you able to take a photograph from the side of the heat press so I can see the underneath, would really appreciate it if you can.

You are a star and I am about to be a right pain

Could you take one more side aspect photo but further away, Ideally a picture of the whole press side on.
