    Ebay customer Classic!

Customer- Sends snotty message "goods not delivered I want my money back"
Me - Send tracking details showing delivered to Argos on time by Royal Mail.
    Customer replies "when?"
Me- See tracking details and date given in my last response
Customer "Argos don't have it, tell your delivery people to sort it out".........
Me- "Delivered to Argos as you requested" see proof.
Customer- You owe me refund as you didn't ensure safe delivery to me
Me- Refund will follow on safe return of goods.

Customer then issues claim for non delivered goods through Ebay system BUT wants money in advance for the return postage of the goods in case they turn up! My T&C's with eBay are customer liable for return postage.

So customer reported to ebay with tracking details, claim for postage etc.

Question.....anybody any experience of eBay in these situations?

    The saga continues
Customer leaves negative feedback saying goods not delivered in time and still waiting.

So now I have sent the feedback review request to the customer with the relevant information. Also reported the feedback to eBay due to it being false and supplied them with the tracking details. Then responded to the feedback.

I am interested to see what action eBay take to protect me, as everything from my end is within eBay guidelines.

Ditch Argos delivery, more likely to get lost in there than a Royal Mail collection office. I've never seen the benefit of it.

It does strike me that the Argos staff aren't going to be fussed about it at all.

Is there not proof of collection from Argos? I've been in store and seen someone collect, and it had to go through the till. Not money, but being registered I believe.

Failing all that, ring the branch. Ask if its there.

IMO. Tracking will only show delivery to the Argos store. Unfortunately that isnt proof that the customer has received the goods. You will lose an ebay case and they will refund your customer.

    Hi Froggy
This is where I wonder... tracking to a house or business is proof enough and there is no proof the customer has it as anybody on the premises could have it. In essence it has been delivered to the customers choice of destination. This is exactly the same as delivery to Argos.

I am not saying you are wrong, as I don't know, but it would be very odd for the rules to be different just because the customer chose Argos.

I would be inclined to agree with you, and would probably highlight to eBay the following line should you have an issue

'You're responsible for getting the item to an eBay Collection Point location'

    this is taken from
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/sell/click-and-collect/ under 'What happens when a buyer doesnt collect an item?'

I guess the biggest concern you may face is with Paypal not eBay, as Paypal state you have to post to the buyers registered Paypal address to be covered, which an Argos store would not be

With the two companies having split, i am unsure how their policies compliment each other (if at all)
