    Mug Delivery

I’m just about to order another 4 cases of 10oz Durham mugs and had got down to choosing between Listawood AAA or xpres. I need a really good quality mug to do full bleed prints, need to wash well in the dishwasher and be as hard wearing as possible.

Am I reading it right that I get free delivery on the xpres (as over £100) but have to pay £4 a box for Listawood?

    Morning Paul,

We've been Xpress XP5013 for some time now, and wouldn't change to anything else.

Xpres is free delivery on orders over £100 EXCLUDING VAT (be careful with that one!). Personally, I have had excellent results with Listawood mugs and have never had a bad one. Delivery may be chargeable, but they always arrive the very next day.

I had noticed the free delivery being ex vat but that wouldn’t be an issue. I was just checking if I read it right and that it would be an extra £16 (£4 x 4) for Listawood.

It would be an extra £8 as they put two boxes of mugs in one box.

Personally I favour Listawood mugs as £8 is not worth worrying about.

    Not me, my customers!!!!

I have a particularly fussy customer who asked me to sample every single mug on the market which I did. I sat there and watched them look at each sampled one thoroughly. They eventually chose the LW Budget Durham which is what I use. I never have bad prints and the inside is nice and smooth. They are a good mug and as they generally coat themselves it means the results are consistent.

They also have the dishwasher guarantee.

BMS came a very close second with the customer. At the time, Dye Sub Supplies were not around and I think they have nice mugs as well. My customer did not like the XPRES mug at all.

It's a little complicated, if you order through the Xpres website, you get free delivery over £100 minus VAT. But you can't use your DSF forum discount.

To use your discount you need to ring up and give them the forum discount code. You will be charged half price postage for additional boxes, but you will still save a fair chunk of money. I think I save about £15 when buying 6 boxes??

As for which mug to choose, it's best to buy a few boxes of both and decide for yourself...batches of mugs can change with each shipment.

I just ordered 4 boxes of mugs and was charged £10 per box but got the first box free, yes £30! It was a mistake but Xpres are now shipping boxes individually rather than 2 boxes in an outer carton. Didn't they used to charge an extra £5 per box insurance on ceramics?

I don't mind the single boxes as I have to carry the boxes up a flight of stairs, but since they changed I now get breakages.
