    No idea what to charge

    Hi there

I have never printed anything for a business, but have been approached to print some items - mugs, coasters, keyrings as promotional items for them to give away

They are just looking at batches of 50

I have no idea what pricing discounts over normal retail price, so, if anyone could advise, it would be appreciated.

So, for example, if a normal printed mug sells for £7.99 - what price would you quote to the business?

    Thank you

    Terry

Work out your costs, material costs, consumables cost, machine costs and fixed costs etc then add the margin which will cover these expenses AND add profit margin for your business.

I would at look some of the online promotional companies for a guidance on prices. As soon as you hear the words 'giveaway', they kind of want it for next to nothing.

I print for artists so know what kind of price they are going to retail it for. I work out wholesale prices to allow everyone to profit, but with promo work it's fairly cut throat rock bottom margins.
