    Epson 2880, 4800, 4880 Wide Carriage Printer

    Hi guys,

I'm looking for any of the Epson wide carriage printers as in the tittle.

Must be capable of printing a good nozzle check.

    Anyone?

    Regards

    John

A part fell off our 4880 recently so is now sat under the desk but used to print well. It was a cog of some sort but none of the boys here have bothered looking into it so probably won't be used again. Had about 6 of these over the last several years and often come up on ebay at a decent price.

    Are you selling Andrew?

I had a similar problem with a white cog near the capping station - nothing there to prevent it falling off!

I'll ask them in work tomorrow if anyone has taken a look at it otherwise you can have it for free. Used to enjoy fixing them years ago but no time to spare these days. Unless it is easily fixed now we just tend to replace. 1500's we tend to prefer just had lots of artwork set-up for the 4880 so tend to keep one about.

Thanks Andrew, my DTG printer is 4880 and been out of action for over a week now! Think it fell foul to a lightening storm so need a another to swap parts.

Got orders coming in from the website and having to refund immediately in case they're for presents.

    Cheers

    John

We'll meet at last Andrew :)

Thanks very much, your offer is gratefully accepted :)

I'm working in Gwent tomorrow but Friday morning looks clear just now - how would that suit you?

Can you message me your contact mobile and post code?

    Regards

Good to meet you today Andrew - just on my doorstep :) Nice operation you have there.

Thanks for the printer and I'll let you know if I have success.
