    External Power Box -- Rotary Heat Press

    I find there is external power box appear in a rotary heat press i am interested, it need extra $800 cost to do it.
    Is it deserve to add this item?

    They claim the advantage:
    a) Protect main electric parts from high temp of the machine body during operating, so longer life cycle;
    b) With individual voltage and current indicator;
    c) Adjustable power based on jobs to save energy

    I may not be the best person to offer advice on this as that's not a bit of kit I have any experience with, hopefully someone with more knowledge will come along and help you out from a experienced point of view.

    If power supply heat is effecting the electric parts that is a pretty big design flaw and the thing that comes to mind is the original xbox 360 console (ring of red) where the heat generated inside it would warp the motherboard.

    For a big bit of kit like that though if I were worried about the electric part I would probably invest in a uninterruptible power supply to go between it and the mains. These give you some time to shutdown properly in the event of a power cut and regulates the power which protect against micro surges.

    I'd have thought a heat press would be relevant to the forum?

    Interesting that a first post asking a question about a piece of equipment and linking to said equipment is triggering you to question if it is spam. I would think questions about equipment with links were fairly common for a first post, do we have some location based profiling going on here?

    Thanks for your advice, but it is hard to use UPS as the power consumption is quite high & need 3 phases 380V.

    You can see power consumption by this link
    http://www.eastyltd.com/e_products/M...Press-p84.html

    So that is why there is external power box as an option to move all those electronic part outside the main body to protect them from the high temp

    Just ask if it is worth to add the external power box by paying extra US$800
