    Gotta love a courier...

I am actually quite impressed that only 4 mugs were damaged in this consignment

Haha brilliant although it looks highly possible the initial packaging was a little less than good?

Only 4 mugs broken? Only 4 mugs in the box then??

When I worked for Hermes this was an almost daily occurrence! Bad packaging, but also depot football, were the most common causes.

Reminds me of a package that came through us when I worked in haulage, small DHL box from Dallas Texas, it was so flat and wet, we assumed it had fallen into the sea, been recovered and then run over by a fork lift! Boss insisted I attempted delivery and asked customer to check if 'anything' had survived. It contained dental impressions worth over £12k! Lady wanted her teeth sorting for her wedding in 2 weeks.....I don't know if she got her wish!

I was always careful with deliveries but once whilst on the 3 tonne forklift a parcel fell off the pallet I was moving. It was one of these new air cushion packages. The packaged flattened and sprung back up. Someone yelled at me to stop so I did and proceeded to reveres over the same package! The air cushion was still perfectly intact and didn't burst at all! The fragile contents were smashed to piece though!

The original packaging was actually pretty good (normally I am really bad at that!), it was two boxes of mugs that were then put inside another box with corner protectors, pretty much the same way that Listawood send them to me.

What probably did not help was the fact that this had spent 6 days in the DPD courier network travelling the country while they tried getting the address right...

    Love that parcel - lol.

I've had the opposite problem, the outside box was in immaculate condition when delivered, clean, no dints or creases ect. The 2 boxes inside, containing the mugs, were in a right state, dirty, ripped, dinted, creased etc. The mugs inside were knackered, one box had the top layer smashed to bits, the other box the mugs looked OK - but a quick flick of the mug resounded in a dull thud instead of a ringing.

Perfect timing, it always happens when you need the mugs most, just before Christmas.
