Question Newbie - Epsom XP 442

    Hi Everyone.
were new to all this and wondered if I could use a ‘normal’ printer for sublimation printing, we’re looking at buying a new printer just to try out sublimation printing and are looking st the Epsom XP 442 as we’re on a very tight budget.
Question is, if sublimation ink is available for this printer does that means it will work for sublimations printing for mugs etc??
Im hoping I can learn from this forum as I’m finding the internet quite limited when it comes to help in starting up.

Many thanks in advance for any help!!!

I can see quite a few sellers for the XP 442 with Sublimation inks, and they do use the Micro Piezo print head. I can't seem to see any info from people who have used the XP 442 for Sublimation printing though.

If you are planning to use this commercially rather than using it as a Hobby, I would suggest waiting until you are able to and buy some more upmarket printers which are a lot more reliable and faster at printing such as the Ricoh and Epson office ranges. However, if you do go for this option, it might be worth taking a look at CityInkExpress for your inks - as they appear to be one of the most reliable suppliers for that printer.
