    Re: Idle time ?

    Sundays?
No, I think it means the time when your not using your press when it's on maybe?
I know what idle temp is! It's the temperature you set your press on when you are not using it for pressing but still leave it on.
(most often lower than the heat you sue for pressing)

Hope this helps, if not there are experts here that can probably help you more

    Re: Idle time ?

    idle time
This is what the Time and Motion People look for isn't it :) Idle Temps are on some mug presses - they hover at a lower temp to save the heat blanket from burning out too quickly. A mug press blanket operating at 180 degrees all the time (especially with no mug in it) will have less life than a blanket that operates at a lower temp when no mug is in the press.

Does that mean if I leave a dud mug in my press it will last longer. :)

If your press has an idle temp then you don't need a dud mug in it because the press does heat past, say 110 degrees, as that is the idle temp. No mug press should go all the way to 180 without a mug in place if you want the blanket to last.
