    Re-filling a CISS System

Thinking ahead to when I have my replacement ink sent (yes my hands are still yellow!), I just wanted to ask a quick question to all you 'fonts of knowledge' out there.

When I got the CISS system there was one syringe in there, is the same syringe used for each colour after giving it a quick rinse with water?

I only ask as I watched a video last not on youtube and the geezer used a seperate syringe for each colour ???

    Many thanks

    Adam

I would use separate syringes to be safe.

    They're cheap enough: https://www.printercartridges.net/pr...roducts_id=837

I don't use syringes anymore to refill my CISS bottles as I use these now http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/100ml-Empty-Pl...item27ae871d09

I never get any ink on my hands now & you can also keep the ink the bottles for storage too.

That looks like a great idea. Do you just squeeze the ink out through the top? I think I'll get some of them in.

i recently started using a ciss system on my normal printer ..bought it cheap and empty ... inks dirt cheap..
i found best way to start them off was to suck from the underneath from empty rather than filling the cartridge with ink first .... sucking from empty caused the desired vaccum and ive had no problems ever since..

Thanks Jonathan, yes you just squeeze the ink out of the bottle as the the bottles do have a pointy nozzle on them. They really are well worth the money.

    That's what I'm counting on!

(Not that I need to refill them that often these days... )
