    Hi guys, what's this about?, (tried the link above) I use a Epson 1400. do i need to change my ink pad? and then re-set something?. thanks Gordon.

    hope you're also emptying your waste ink tank / felt pad in the printer or fitting an external waste ink tank or sooner or later your gonna get ink everywhere when it overflows!, it's ok using this but its only half of what needs to be done

    O DEAR,
    I've not done this yet, ............................it is still new'ish,.......................................... ....
    so can you tell me what I need to do? is it a case of removing the tank & felt & cleaning it???? (gessing it is clicked in/out)
    then reseting the memory with the above down load from Paul ???????.

    Not totally convinced of the need to empty the waste pads on the A4/A3 models as the way these printers work is they deposit the liquid ink into a large blotting pad inside the printer. This gets wet but most of the liquid would evaporate leaving a discoloured pad inside. I've known printers to be reset 4+ times without problems. On the larger machines the ink gets deposited into a plastic waste tank which just holds liquid ink so this just fills up and needs to be physically emptied or you'll end up with ink overflowing.

    i heard about plastic waste ink tank conected to the printer and physically eptied. Also i read all that ink can refill your ciss black ink (!) i dont know how true is that tho...
