i am printing my template out at 3 1/2" height & 8 1/2" width,but cannot really explain it,it prints to the mug fine around most of the mug but seems to not stick to the mug around the top or bottom or sides of the handle's as well as he rest of the mug,there seems to be more ink still left on the paper ??,ill have another few attempts tomorrow & let you know how i get on...thanks all....
go for more preasure. try heavy one. and post some pics :) is this same problem as Robert described in his post?

The ink should sit on the shiny surface of the paper, if it's saturating you won't get a good image, you're wasting ink and your paper probably isn't suitable :-)

ive got 2 types of paper some i bought from ebay was from a comapny called bargain-press (Item number: 190352241618) & got 200 sheets with the printer from signal inkjet supplies,ill try again tomorrow when i can get home (damb snow !).if still stuck will try put up a few pics to show.thanks eveyone for your help.
Personally I wouldn't use cheap papers. I did test a few cheaper ones a few years back with dire results.
I have always used Xpres, it's cheap by comparison and gives excellent images.
That said, Sawgrass recently informed me that they ONLY recommend TruePix for use through the Ricoh 5050 so I'll be trying that.

How warm are your mugs when they go in, the bottom of the mug is going to take longer to heat up.
How close to the handle are you trying to get?

I also had the same problem top and bottom and I made the image slighly smaller from the top and bottom and that worked,
