    Heat press felt?

    Hi,

I was wondering if thick felt which can be heat pressed exists?

I know there is heat press flock but I'm after something much thicker. I want to make some varsity style patches to apply to jackets and it would be much better for me if I could find something that doesn't fray so I don't need to overlock the edges and is heat pressable so I don't need to sew them on.

Any suggestions would be great because this is an area I have to experience in as I normally just screen print :)

    many thanks in advance,

    Lucy

Although this is not felt, when pressed it expands. I think the ammount it rises can be determined by the time you press it for.

That stuff looks cool but I don't think it's quite right ...

I'd like to be able to screen print an image onto the felt before heat pressing it to the jacket (to create a mock embroidered look patch)
Basically, I'm hoping there is a thick white felt like material out there which can be bonded to garments via heat press.

I'm not sure if there's something Bagde/patch makers use as a backing that might work? Any ideas?

Not sure if this is suitable for heat press but it is 100% Polyester and great for badges.

It's the badge felt I'm on about not the embroidery thread, don't know why it did the thread link.
