    Hi all,

    We've started a new promotion today for DSF premium members. Save 10% off on your orders from Longforte.

    To redeem simply email us your DSF ID after placing your order and let us know you are a premium member. We'll then apply a refund for 10% of your order.
    This offer is valid until Dec 31 2012.

    Please note, we do not take any share in the annual members fee, but just want to support Justin and the forum to help it grow and develop.

    Do get in touch if there's anything we can do to help!

    regards
    Jay

    Nice Jay - I'm sure everyone appreciates a discount and top marks for supporting the forum :)

    So, just to confirm - you add stuff to your basket and then pay for your order and then email you - you then credit us back with 10% ??
    Or do you get 10% off the next order?

    Sorry, I'm confused so someone else is bound to be - would it be better to email you first with our DSF ID, you confirm we are premium members and then issue a discount code to use on the order?

    That's unless I'm missing something - and if so I rightly appologise :)

    I just placed an order for some phone cases from Jay to see what they are like.
    I emailed him the order, and he sent me back an invoice for paypal INCL DISCOUNT and very sensible delivery costs.

    Sure he said 10% OFF your FIRST order, then 5% there after for DSF PAID MEMBERS
    He's sorting out the payment side of things - 10/10 for communication and service so far

    look forward to seeing his cases....

    If you are a limited company then by law you have to have an address on your website along with contact details and your company registration number.

    From 1 January 2007, the Companies Act 1985 as amended requires the company's
    name to appear legibly in:
    (a) all its business letters,
    (b) all its
    notices and other official publications,
    (c) on all its
    websites,

    (d) all bills of exchange, promissory notes, endorsements,
    cheques, orders for money or goods purporting to be signed by or on behalf of
    the company, and
    (e) all bills of parcels, invoices, receipts, letters of
    credit.
    In addition, the company's business letters, order forms and
    websites have to include fuller particulars, i.e.
    (a) the company's place
    of registration and the number with which it is registered,
    (b) the address
    of its registered office,

    (c) in the case of an investment company , the
    fact that it is such a company, and
    (d) in the case of a limited company
    exempt from the obligation to use the word "limited" as part of its name , the
    fact that it is a limited company.
    All these requirements apply whether the
    document is in hard copy or electronic or any other form.
    If a jobs worth doing it has to be Worth Doing Right

    Even if you're not a limited company,The Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 expressly states-

    6.—(1) A person providing an information society service shall make available to the recipient of the service and any relevant enforcement authority, in a form and manner which is easily, directly and permanently accessible, the following information
    (a)the name of the service provider;
    (b)the geographic address at which the service provider is established;
    (c)the details of the service provider, including his electronic mail address, which make it possible to contact him rapidly and communicate with him in a direct and effective manner;
    (d)where the service provider is registered in a trade or similar register available to the public, details of the register in which the service provider is entered and his registration number, or equivalent means of identification in that register;
    (e)where the provision of the service is subject to an authorisation scheme, the particulars of the relevant supervisory authority;
    (f)where the service provider exercises a regulated profession—
    (i)the details of any professional body or similar institution with which the service provider is registered;
    (ii)his professional title and the member State where that title has been granted;
    (iii)a reference to the professional rules applicable to the service provider in the member State of establishment and the means to access them; and
    (g)where the service provider undertakes an activity that is subject to value added tax, the identification number referred to in Article 22(1) of the sixth Council Directive 77/388/EEC of 17 May 1977 on the harmonisation of the laws of the member States relating to turnover taxes—Common system of value added tax: uniform basis of assessment(1).
    (2) Where a person providing an information society service refers to prices, these shall be indicated clearly and unambiguously and, in particular, shall indicate whether they are inclusive of tax and delivery costs.
    And according to the FAQ here:

    Question 6. How are Information Society Services defined in the Regulations ?

    For the purposes of these Regulations “Information Society Services” are “any service normally provided for remuneration, at a distance, by means of electronic equipment for the processing (including digital compression) and storage of data, and at the individual request of a recipient of a service.

    This covers a wide range of economic activities that take place online, including selling goods online, as well as video on demand and services consisting of the transmission of information via a communication network, providing access to a communication network, hosting information provided by a recipient of the service or providing commercial communications by e-mail. However, the use of e-mail or equivalent electronic communications (e.g. by persons acting outside their trade, business or profession, including their use for the conclusion of contracts between such persons) is not an information society service e.g. personal e-mail exchanges or a website with no commercial content would not be covered by these Regulations.
    Whichever way you look at it, your address must be displayed.
