    Lens cloth material

Hi all, I am new to both forums and dye sub so hope that I am getting this right.
I am researching a specific idea and want to be able to print on lens cloth material and I am struggling to find the plain white material itself. I have only found suppliers of small blanks but I am looking for pieces just under A3. Please can anyone suggest where I can buy the suitable material.

I am also considering a Ricoh SG7100DN to do the job but I guess finding the material comes first but any Ricoh SG7100DN would be appreciated.

Thanks all, and it would be great to hear back from you.
    David

    Hi David

I would contact Listawood. They sell blank lens cloth material in a couple of different sizes, they may store it on a roll or might be able to source a roll of it for you.

    Good luck

P.S. It would be nice if you introduce yourself in the forum introductions section first

    Hi David

I noticed on your introduction that the idea you have is for a particular project, have you thought about direct to fabric printing? Depending on the level of detail you require this may be a better/cheaper option.

I understand that you may want to keep a new ventures/idea secret for now (this is an open forum after all), so if you want to private message me feel free to do so.

I am not so sure about it being a secret idea but more a daft plan. Looking to make a map in fabric that can be overlayed onto a 3d topographic model that I have made. The artwork for this is complicated but may produce an interesting result.

Thanks for showing an interest and I will keep all updated with any progress.

if you know of anyone who has had experience of printing on EVA foam prior to vacuum forming that would be really interesting.
    Thanks
    David

Can you not just get some 100% polyester fabric ...I had had some great success with sublimating onto fabric that I purchased at the fabric store. Or does it need to be the same as lens cloth fabric/material??

David, I print a lot of strange things on polyester microfibre bed sheet material. Might not be what you need, but it is an idea. A single bed sheet set starts at about $10 and makes a heck of a lot of A3 pieces.
