    Protein Shakers

    Hi Guys,

What is the usual printing methods on protein shakers? I don't know much but would it be a vinyl transfer using a mug press?

Do the shakers need a special coating ? I'm talking regular ones:

Has anyone tried printing them on here with any success? I know my own personal shakers images usually crack and peel after a few dishwashers is that why not many people bother because there would be alot of customers wanting money back?

Just wondering why personalised mugs are all the rage but not personalised shakers?

i deal with a few Protein companies, and they all get theirs direct from large companies who specialise in this. if you find a good solution let me know as i have lots of clients who would let me do theirs if a good price and dishwasher proof.

    Hi Dave,

Ive seen companies advertising bulk personalised protein shakers for businesses but no one seems to be making them to order personalised for single orders, even on ebay which is odd.

So going back to my original post why is that? What is the printing process?

I've seen blanks that said they were for pad printing. You might be able to dye sub them but it would depend what temp the plastic melts and i've seen metal one so if you could find blanks you could coat them yourself but might not be cost effective.

It's pad or screen printing depending on coverage of design. I know the sports water bottle also needs flaming but not sure about these. Don't believe there are any available for sublimation but similar shape to the coffee takeaway mugs. It could be done based on a similar design to them but we would be talking sizeable volumes I would think.

Not sure if some of the tmt transfer types would work as it is a lower temperature than subli.

if its for simple "thats mine" identification at the gym, where a dozen people can have the same shaker if they are all buying the same protein mixes, you could look printed phone strap type things through the cap strap - thats what i have done for my sons, and it works well
