Re: Bought my halogen oven

I’m using 180 degrees for 13 minutes for 2. Upping the temperature is a way to fix it, but upping the time too.

Re: BC01 Oven - handful of mugs coming out with flaws

<t>have you tried a higher temperature for shorter times? I find that if the coating is thinner, it starts blurring if the time is upped in the oven almost as if the ink can't go 'deeper' and moves sideways. Another possibility is moist paper but you probably know your environmental conditions best ...

Re: Oven inconsistencies

<t>Dear everyone,<br/>
<br/>
I can’t express how grateful I am for this forum. I have spent countless hours gathering info here and found my duraglaze/listawood cult.<br/>
<br/>
I have now found the culprit to be the mugs I had and their coating. I found a dusty old box of more duraglaze mugs and ...

Re: Xpres xp5013 mugs and freesub press settings

<t>I personally prefer photographic for most accurate results. Vivid isn’t optimal for design works because it adds vibrancy to colours.<br/>
<br/>
yellowing can also be caused by overheating, but for now I’d first try the photographic setting on ‘ceramic mug’ for the print manager and ofcourse the ...

Re: Novice Questions

<r>I started with a starter set that included a printer (ricoh that later turned sawgrass) and a basic 1 mug handpress. <br/>
<br/>
I would suggest going for a good supplier with the help of this forum and don’t go cheap on off-brand ink or printers without support.<br/>
<br/>
We decided we’d ...

Re: Oven inconsistencies

<t>Hey socialgiraffe! Thanks for thinking with me here!<br/>
<br/>
I still had a bunch of duraglaze left and tried them too. Same thing, I can have two mugs in the oven where one comes out (near) perfect and the other with little ink transfer.<br/>
<br/>
Funny you mentioned listawood since I ...

<t>Hi everyone,<br/>
<br/>
I’m Manon. I’m in my thirties, a mom of 3, coffee lover, small business owner (design, print and aviation), from the Netherlands. <br/>
<br/>
Started sublimation in 2016 and have since upgraded from an A4 Ricoh with handpress to an A3 sawgrass sg1000 and a mug oven. <br ...

I think I trumped insanity by doing the same thing over and over and actually receiving different results. :frown:<br/>

Re: Oven inconsistencies

<t>After some more insanity testing today it doesn’t seem the old vs new wraps make a lot of difference. Oven placement does.<br/>
<br/>
random question going through my mind; will the placement matter less when adding more mugs to the basket? Will they radiate more heat to eachother? <br/>
