sorry to hear this... but all I know about sp300 from my friend Roland engineer is to stay away from this very old printer as nobody wants to fix it of goes wrong. I would probably go for Mimaki if I bee you.

<r>This is an ancient video I made 11y ago but still valid in most cases. As you can see silicone rubber is on top. No point in having it at the bottom as you have a rubber pad on your press. <br/>

if you print on lower quality, then darker colours are over saturated. if you print on finest then they have enough time on heated base to dry. that on my machine any way.

dont do it.
but if you do, epson provide service promising to fix anything that is wrong with your machine for fixed fee of about £1900 ish. even if they fix it and machine will be like new, read about nightmare those machines are for maintenance.
