Re: Orca coating coming off after a few months!

<t>The problem you have is that the coating has not been cured properly.<br/>
<br/>
I have seen this a few times in my years and it can be sorted (not that you should have to). All you need to do is put the plain mug in an oven for 15-20 minutes to cure the polymer coating properly. Unfortunately ...

Re: Giving up on printing mugs

<t>I buy from Xpres all the time and never had an issue with quality. Occasional broken mug, but they always offered to refund. TBH never took them up on that as it was only the occasional mug and as I deal in bulk orders I could never be bothered to claim it. <br/>

Re: So, Who actually has one of these UV printers??

<r>I have a "desk top" machine.<br/>
<br/>
Its one of the Epson SC-V1000. A4 UV Printer. Its a cracking little machine and spot on for what I need. Prints a whole host of substrates including glass. Its only an A4 bed though which obviously has its limitations, but the maintenance and parts for the ...

Re: Nothing much changes

<t>Although I do not sell on ebay etc I do think some of your costings are a bit off. <br/>
<br/>
To print a mug is around £1.11 (approx) for a bulf printer like myself.<br/>
<br/>
But your post states a profit of 81p per mug (based on your figures), I use ovens and I can produce in the region of 48 ...

Re: Grafityp closing down

<t>From my understanding Metamark had purchased the company and are merging the materials with their own. When I spoke to them about two months ago they said that the prices would not change (although I doubt that considering the prices of MM's materials.<br/>

They tried selling the kit side ...

Re: ICC Profile - Major Photoshop Issue - Hair being pulled out

<t>I recently had this on a shitty little Epson I am running. FOr some reason the green was a country mile out even though absolutely nothing had changed. <br/>
<br/>
Tried the file on a different paper and it was spot on. I can only assume that the paper manufacturer may have changed something in ...

Re: Heat Press Question

<r>I have had Adkins since starting out and can not fault them, I have one that was made in China and a rough calculation is that it has done over a million presses with only one time needing a replacement part costing £45.00 <E>:-)</E> So do not rule out Adkins, even the Chinese ones. <br/>
