I'm looking to buy a badge making machine which I will mainly use to make compact mirrors and ideally I'd like to use fabric as well as paper, so one that can accommodate a greater thickness that standard 80gsm paper is important.

I wondered if anyone has experience of any of these machines of if they have recommendations on any others.

I'd want the mirror blanks to look high quality, so if anyone has any experience with supplies too, that would be most appreciated.

I was looking for one for some time but every time i found one that i like I was holding off with buying it :)
Investment is not huge but i wonder if there is still demand for badges? will this still make you any money do you think?

Paul, I'm planning making mirrors rather than badges and because I want the option of possibly using fabric too. I'm thinking about buying the machinery rather than outsourcing.

Can't remember the last time I saw someone wearing a large badge. The only ones I seem to see people wearing now are the small little pin type badges.

The large badges would go onto greeting cards.

Ahhhh I C........ Go for it then.

Must admit though it pi$$£$ me off when I have to go to the post office to pay extra postage to receive a card when its got a badge or thick foam on it and its over or tight on 5mm.

Buttons.co.uk are really good. Got my stuff from them and they couldn't be more helpful.

I purchased the flexi from http://www.badgematic.de/en/badge-makers this saves having two presses and reduces the price considerably.
