Would anyone know what screen gauge i should need to print on cotton ribbon or webbing?

Im trying to make my own labels due to the expense of brought printed or woven labels... 172.00 for 500  disgracefulness!!

I use 90T to print normally but on trials they havent worked so well.... just wondered if i should go for less 77T or more 100T above? im using waterbased inks so fairly thin.

Also, what ink could i use to print onto satin ribbon? waterbased or plastisol?

Cheers

I never used water based inks. Only plastisol. it was grate on canvas bags as texture of them don't make it easy to print. so low mesh count and plastisol ink should do the trick.

For our clothing labels, we sublimate onto white polyester ribbon.

I bought 1000 printed satin labels not long ago but never thought of printing them myself! @pisquee I Would be interested in finding out more about how you did your labels and @Haylou, have you screen printed yours yet, and if so what were the results like?

white polyester ribbon ... sublimate like other poly fabric. play around with temps 180-200 and 30-60 seconds. We tend to just run it through the side of the rotary press while the fabric panels are printing through the middle.
