Hi guys/girls, I went on an auction site last night and spotted some dye sublimation ink called Lysons, it stated it was for the large format printers only, is this because of the Intillectual rights issue with sawgrass etc or is it a diff kind of ink, seems to be for the same stuff ie: garment transfers hard ceramic transfers etc, Anyone here tried them? ...waits in anticipation for an answer...Still waiting. .....

It is due to Sawgrass that you can only use it in large format. The colours of the inks are very slightly different on like for like with something like Artainium. Cyan might be a bit lighter etc. therefore you might need new software specifically designed for that......but not always.

You're right in thinking Lyson is for large format printers. Most if not all sellers will insist on seeing proof of large format printer ownership before selling to you. If they don't they may be in breach of the law regarding to Sawgrass ;)
