Hi all,
Has anyone come across the gildan gd05b size issues ?

A while ago, I was informed by my supplier that the sizing on the GD05B has been changed by Gildan. This is what they said,

"Please note that the new sizing specification is larger than the old specification even though the recommended "to fit" sizes are the same."

Is this what you were referring to?

Hi yes,
But the GD05B are now fitting kids three sizes up! we have dropped this t-shirt from all the schools we do as they are just to big to fit the childrens age range that it has on the label.
bad move Gildan!!!

Gildan seen all over the place again with their sizing, their larger sizes have also got shorter again, so a 4XL is almost square and not long enough - and we really do not need to see belly dancing 4XL's

Very true Mrs Maggot, we keep away from offering Gildan at the moment and push FOTL for just that reason.

i must say we have never had an issue with gildan. but on 4xl stuff we tend to use uneek. i think some of the sweats we used werent great (gildan) but never any complaints.

the only times i use FOTL are childrens t shirts, and zipped hoodies, as their zip is the right way round for men, where as Gildan zips are on the ladies side

Didn't notice the Gildan handed zip thing but being 50/50 I did notice they mark more when pressed so starting to use AWD more being 80/20 . Press marks are a pet annoyance with hoodies and polos so will take a good look at the Pressmech presses at P&P
