I'll have to go back to your site and remind myself how to use them.
Do they go all the way round inside the handle please?

Paul

You can resize them if you wish because the templates are layered. I generally print to a standard size of 8"x3" (avoiding the top and bottom of the mug), which is smaller than the size supplied, but it's easy to modify them to suit.

Incidentally, if anyone is interested, I've just learned that the templates open fine in my (very old) copy of Macromedia Fireworks 4 (its Adobe these days, I think). FW4 doesn't export in the supplied psd format but it'll happily save out as a layered PNG.

Hope that's of use to someone.

These are great and would love some but unfortunately my press won't do any where near the edges or handles and I often get a lot of wasted mugs attempting things much smaller.

I could do it in the oven but if i only get singles thats a long time in an oven for 1 mug.

Not sure if i reduced it so much it would have the same effect.

My mug press is like that, too. ;)

I'm running a couple of test mugs through my halogen oven to see what they look like with the resized template. If they look okay, I'll be putting them on my website.

ajla. if you reduce it it still will look ok. but did you ever tryed one of my templates? there is quite few for free so you can do some test prints.

No I haven't Paul. I would much rather be able to do a full wrap tho I personally think it looks more professionall and as a gift appear more expensive.

An inch maybe and that is with turning it all the way tothe right and then left during cooking. Its a bit of a pain actually.

Its a Jarin press made by Europa Leisure or something like that. I was told they were supposed to be very good but obviously not I have tried to contact them regarding replacin the wrap but i've not had a response. The t shirt press is fantastic.

do you want to change your mug press? or you happy with that what you got?

AJLA

No not happy with it particulary but it's a case of not have the pennies to purchase another at the moment. I have a brand new mug oven which paid for itself with the first order but as this is a sideline for me and not my main business I don't get a huge amount of mugs to do and it would probably take a while for me to get enough money from doing them to buy another.
I seem to be forking out lots of money at the moment, being in the photo processing buisiness is blinking expensive unfortunately

As mentioned, I don't do full wrap prints but this is the first one I sampled up this afternoon and is now on my website:

http://www.mugsandgifts.co.uk/zshop/images/mugsandgifts/mugxmas01trio.jpg

Works quite well, I think. I sent the picture to the mother of the girl and she immediately emailed back saying "that looks fantastic!". 8)

Sublimated.

Nothing goes on my site until I've done at least one to prove (to myself) that I can do it. This also helps ensure that all of my images are my own, and ensures my site won't look like anyone else's. I'll be putting some of the other mugs on my site over the next few days.

Good job it's Christmas. The girl in the picture is one of my nieces, so her parents are going to get lots of mugs on Christmas day!   Normally my dogs are the models, but that didn't seem quite so appropriate in this instance. ;)

I'm using my halogen oven for these. I've resized the templates to be 8" wide (a size I find ideal for A4/Letter paper) which leaves about 15-20mm from the handle to the print.

JSR, i have worked out that the print area of a mug is 70 x 250 mm on an asda mug. I have a TMT htp twin mug press and they say to leave a 20mm gap from each side of the mug, does the halogen allow a smaller gap? I would love to print under the handle..just to be diiferent. :D

For anyone still hesitating, make sure you get in before the offer runs out. At £5.99 they're a bargain!

Even if you feel it's too late for this Christmas, mugs made from these templates will make for great "eleventh hour" presents for anyone you've forgotten to buy for.

If you're anything like me, the Christmas period is so hectic that presents for family and friends are just about always the last thing on the list! :D

In theory, yes. I don't know how your mug press works but, in the oven, the entire mug reaches sublimation temperature while a mug press is always going to be cold around the handle (because the handle sticks out of the blanket).

Depending on the size of your wrap to size of mug, you could print right up to the the handle. With careful cutting of paper and placing of tape there should be no reason why you can't print under the handle (of course there would be no pressure from the wrap there so you'd need to have plenty of tape).

I tend to treat my halogen oven in pretty much the same way as my mug press. I don't want to be offering something that can only be done in the oven but can't be done in the press - because that means that one machine can't back up the other and becomes indispensable. That's okay if you want to buy spare machines, but if you only have one of each it pays to be cautious, I think.

Which mug press do you have from TMT?

Is it this one?
