I am just wondering if anybody has an a preference when using HTV on tops.

I find that I prefer 100% cotton for the feel and weight of the garment but I also notice when I apply HTV that sometimes after a few washes the HTV looks a bit worse for wear although it's still stuck properly.

Does anybody else find this as I'm now wondering if I should maybe be using a 35% cotton to 65% poly mix garment.

As I've said could be nothing but I have an order for some polo's and I want them to look top notch and have a decent wear life.

I've always used 100% cotton tshirts either Gildan or FOL and I have tshirts 5 years old that still look good. What vinyl are you using? Also print loads on Primark cheap tshirts and all look good.

It's gildan and fotl I also use. The vinyl I get from MDP, I use them for all my vinyls.

I use MDP hotflex and not had any complaints and my own or families tshirts still look good. Not sure what it could be. I would suggest the heat press but I often use a cheap chinese one where the heat isn't even evenly distributed. Do you have a tumble dryer as I don't so possibly that could make a difference to the vinyl?

I used to use a cheap Chinese press to be honest and never had any issues with it but I did upgrade to a decent one.
I do have a tumble dryer and my wife is handy at using it lol.
I can see where your coming from with the tumble dryer and if I do washing I never use it on my tops but it does say you can tumble dry with hot flex if I remember correctly.

Yes you can use tumble dryer with MDP flex and I could see maybe after a year or so it might make a difference but not after just a few washes. No idea what it could be. Maybe you have lousy water in Glasgow lol If you use the hotflex I've no idea or maybe if you use MDP cold peel flex it makes a difference. Sorry I can't think of anything else.
