Just looking at this printer with interest, 6 colour A4 for £80'ish. I wonder if Sawgrass plan to support as it would be good to have another A4 6 colour machine supported.

Read a few reviews and it sounds ok.

I'm after another 6 colour printer and really only need A4 for this.

P50 has been around for a while and nothing that I'm aware of in the pipe line from Sawgrass on this :( .

Wondered how long it had been around, not a printer I've heard much about. Looking at the pics it appears to be based on the D120 chassis so I wonder if there's any logical reason why it wouldn't work for sublimation? Maybe even using a 1400 profile seeing as it's a 6 colour printer.

Maybe Sawgrass have tried it without success or maybe there was a decision made that the only 6 colour printer to be supported would be A3 format, the latter I assume.

Justin, I saw this on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Epson-P50-Printer ... 27b5eb2dab (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Epson-P50-Printer-Continuous-Ink-System-CISS-/170555813291?pt=UK_CamerasPhoto_Printers_Printers_ JN&hash=item27b5eb2dab)

I might well get one because i still have lots of ink left after my 1290 blew up (6 colours), shame to waste that ink.

Dave.

You can get the printer for £81 delivered, isn't this CIS already filled? I would either use refil carts or a CIS from Ink City Express, works out about the same price but better quality CIS imo ;)

May well be worth trying for sublimation. I know some folk have also used the S21 but I believe Sawgrass chose not to support this, not heard anything either way about the P50 yet though.

Send it to me Ian, I'll have a read and I promise to respond! ;) It is a shame when members don't respond though, I know what your saying, you spend ages putting a lengthy message together, the least they could do is acknowledge it.

Justin,

I have deleted it by the looks of things but will send you an Im with some of my secrets probably tomorrow if that's ok with you.

Ian ;)

Recent research on another thread threw up the interesting information that, according to the Epson cartridge numbers (from http://www.epson.co.uk/Store/Ink-Toner- ... s/Owl-Inks (http://www.epson.co.uk/Store/Ink-Toner-and-Ribbons/INK/Consumable-Inks/Owl-Inks)), the P50 can use identical cartridges to the 1400 (the T079x cartridges). If you have a CISS or refills from an old 1400 then it should work in the P50.

The profile won't be correct, though.

(Be wary that it won't go the other way - the CISS supplied with the P50 linked to in a post above is based on the T080x cartridges which will not work in the 1400.)

Let us know if you try it out and if the 1400 profile is any good on the P50.
